Containment systems protect operators from high-potency active pharmaceutical ingredients (HPAPI). The stainless steel components within must meet the highest standards: crevice-free, pore-free, dead-zone-free – with surfaces that can be cleaned without residue.

Numberger Technologies manufactures these components as a supplier to containment system builders. We don't build isolators – we deliver the stainless steel assemblies that go inside them. Precisely to drawing, documented down to the heat number.

Strict separation of stainless steel and carbon steel in production. TIG welded, purged and full-penetration. Own surface roughness tester with printout for Ra verification directly on the part.

What is containment in the pharmaceutical industry?

Containment protects operators from high-potency APIs (HPAPI). Typical systems include isolators with glove ports, split butterfly valves for dust-free transfer, and closed process equipment. All stainless steel components must be crevice-free and cleanable.

What surface finish do containment components require?

Standard is Ra 0.8 µm. For OEB 4-5 applications, often Ra 0.4 µm or better. We grind, polish and electropolish – with our own surface roughness tester and measurement protocol printed on-site.

Can you manufacture to our drawings?

Yes. We manufacture to drawings, STEP files or specifications. From prototype to series. Material certificates 3.1 and batch traceability are standard.

Which stainless steel for containment?

1.4404 (316L) is the standard for pharma containment. For aggressive media we use 1.4539 (904L). Both materials in stock.

Do you supply containment manufacturers?

Yes. We are a supplier, not a competitor. We manufacture the stainless steel components that are installed in isolators, transfer systems and containment lines.
